Take Meridian with you

The builds aren't signed yet, so Windows may warn you. Choose More info, then Run anyway. The desktop app updates itself after that.

The builds aren't signed yet, so macOS stops the app the first time:

1. Open the .dmg and drag Meridian 59: Shards into Applications.
2. Open it. When macOS says it can't check the app, choose Done (not Move to Trash).
3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down, choose Open Anyway beside Meridian 59: Shards and confirm. (On macOS 14 and earlier, right-clicking the app and choosing Open also works.)
4. If macOS says the app is damaged, run xattr -cr "/Applications/Meridian 59: Shards.app" in Terminal and open it again.

The Mac app can't update itself yet: when its login screen says there's a new version, download it here and replace the old one in Applications. The macOS build hasn't been tried on many real Macs yet, so reports are welcome.

Make the AppImage executable (chmod +x Meridian-Shards-*.AppImage) and run it, or install the .deb package on Debian and Ubuntu. Like the macOS build, it hasn't been tried on many machines yet.

Open the downloaded file and allow your browser to install apps when asked. If Play Protect warns about an unknown developer, choose Install anyway. The app tells you when there's a newer version: download it here and install it over the old one.
